GUEST PRESENTATION –
KIRK RAY: CEO ST. JOE HOSPITAL
· St. Joe will be undertaking a $7,000,000 renovation in order to move residency program to hospital site
· Site will also be location for instruction for nursing students
· Construction should be completed by March 1, 2008
· Kirk Ray presented drawings of how the renovation will look
· The walkway through to Broadway will not be closed off
· Two contractors have been in contact – City approved
· Waiting on estimates
CHDOs
· Nikki presented a presentation on evaluation of effectiveness
· WCNA can diversify as it grows
· Performance is key measurement
· Nikki handed out evaluation glossary
· HUD model is most widely used

· Jill will be taking over website
BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

§ Wilt Street division was approved – no down zoning requested
§ Owner intends to refinance one of the homes

1000 BLOCK OF BRAODWAY

· Request has been made to designate the 1000 block of Broadway a historic district

· WCNA will hold flood meeting from 6:00-7:00 p.m. April 16, 2007, prior to regular meeting
SCHOOL BOND ISSUE
· Tabled for further discussion
JILL’S ITEMS
· Model Block Party program –City wanted to buy house but program is no longer in existence
· Fundraising seminar – Jill attended
§ May not work with West Central
§ Would be better suited to larger groups

§ Would like to preserve bridge
§ Motion made by Charlotte Weybright to work on saving bridge – motion seconded by Mike Anderson – motion carried
