REPORTS

·                     Minutes from meeting of July 10, 2007, accepted and approved

 

·                     Treasurer’s Report:  No report available due to switching of software program

 

1134 Nelson Street

 

·                     The contractor originally anticipated 90 days to selling condition; however, progress is behind schedule

·                     The house will still be on the West Central House Tour

·                     It has been shown a couple of times

·                     Sale price will be between $55,000 and $75,000

·                     Tom Cain and Jill Downs went to Home Depot and Lowe’s to select flooring and fixtures for the house

·                     $500 over budget – credit was given for water heater, but window expense was added

·                     Landmarks loan

§         Meeting with Todd Seiger?

§         Bloomington restoration used both LM and federal funds

·         Bloomington has done about 10 projects – wording for documents came from Bloomington

·                     Petition for five buildings was reintroduced August 14, 2007 – vote will be August 21, 2007 at 5:30 – City Council meeting

·                     SWAP – Commercial building code changes

·         Addition to the neighborhood codes

·         Receivership for commercial buildings would help protect them

 

ST. JOE HOSPITAL PHOTOS

           

·                     COO would like pictures of historical buildings to place in different locations in the hospital

 

OTDs

 

·                     August 14, 2007 – 1433 Swinney

·         Title search from city

·         Sales won’t be until the first of the year – will be put in a bid package

·         Chase probably isn’t interested in foreclosing – would probably be interested in saving the house

 

BOARD COMMITTEES - AICED

 

·                     Need to bring in funds – start fundraising committee to get more money

·                     Possible part-time position as well as in office presence

·                     Items that could be beneficial would be new laptop computer and data projector

 

GROWTH

 

·                     816 Lavina Street – might be a tax sale although there is uncertainty as to the amount of taxes and who is responsible

·                     WCNA could seek a quit-claim deed from Tim Swihart

 

OTHER

 

·                     Joanne – no help at this time for Tire Day

·                     Note cards – possible fundraiser

·         Maybe one person could take on the project

·                     Need to concentrate on projects that generate larger amounts – note cards would be small generator of funds

·                     Scrap metal ordinance – August 21, 2007, will be discussed at City Council meeting

·                     Newsletter – need articles for next edition
