EXISTING BUSINESS

 

·         Section 42

 

·         CHDO


 

·         Local Historic District (LHD)

o        David Long requested current ‘proposed’ plan from the City on August 11.

o        Need to form a special committee

o        Need to evaluate and understand what our best approach for support/passage

o        Raise topic in August WCNA General meeting looking for committee volunteers

 

·         Conflict of Interest

o         Tabled review of sample language to Board meeting in September.

o         Board in favor of adopting a policy and will continue discussion.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

·         Liability Insurance – current liability insurance coverage may not adequate

o        Not carrying any workman’s compensation coverage on employees:  Jill & David

o        Not insured for employee practices (i.e. protection against lawsuits on wrongful termination)

o        Estimated at $600 additional per year for both coverage adds for both employees.

§         Current coverage costs approx. $300/yr; increase to $900.

§         Motion and passed: Jack Stark made motion to add additional coverage; seconded by Charlotte.  In favor – all; opposed – none.  Passed

 

·         Berry Street Block Party – Residents from the 900 block; asked for WCNA support and was given Board support.  

 

·         P.E.D.I.C.U.R.E. - - next event this Saturday; Board should try to attend during the event.  Mike had conversation with Judy Cole; she thought local artist would be more interested than they have been to date.   

 

·         Neighborhood Watch Class

o        David Long went to class

§         David to work with our CCW West Central participants to share data/knowledge

§         David will present one module at August General Association Meeting. (20-25 minutes)

 

·         Regional Neighborhood Network Conference – October, Dayton, OH

o        City communicates through area partnerships – John will try to obtain more data at SWAT meeting.
