·                     Minutes from meeting of  February 2008, accepted and approved

·                     Treasurer’s Report:  no report

OLD BUSINESS

 

1134 Nelson Street

 

·                     Copper stolen – J. Simerman will work with construction company to replace copper

·                     Intend to nominate for an ARCHie

·                     Furnace is not working

·                     Air conditioning line needs replaced

·                     Charles Skinner is still interested

 

            Local Designation

·                     Area would be bounded by Fulton/Sturgis/Brackenridge/Lavina

 

            CEDIT

·                     Need to decide what to ask for – curbing and brick streets (Wilt & Swinney) was suggested

·                     Also suggestion made to clean up Thieme Drive

 

            OTD Hearing

·                     1308 Ewing – pass on this house

·                     802 Lavina – vote to work on saving

·                     Letter to thank for not going forward

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

            Swinney House Tear Down

·                     City wants to tear down but house is structurally sound

·                     Meeting with city re:  community-oriented government and moth-balling abandoned structures

 

Historic Designation

·                     Grant money is available to use for historic designation for properties south of the railroad

 

800 Block of Washington

·                     815 W. Washington is on the market - $17,000

·                     817-819 W. Washington on the market - $12,000

 

Brick Street Policy

·                     Brick Street policy was distributed and discussed

 

            Emmanuel Lutheran

·                     Emmanuel Lutheran has presented its plan to West Central

·         The Church has asked that we support closing Jackson Street for a Block Party on July 20, 2008

·         WCNA will pay the $35 to close down the street

 

Firefighters Union

§         Hosting a St. Patricks Day event with green dye being dumped into the St. Marys at 11:00 on Saturday, March 15.

§         Shuttle will leave at 10:00 to take viewers to bridge

§         12:00 on – festivities at the fire station

 

Three Rivers Parade

-letter to editor re:  new parade route

Other

-Planning commissions have merged
