·         Minutes – accepted

·         Treasurer’s report – accepted

OLD BUSINESS

·         1134 Nelson

o       Still have numbers outstanding as some repair bills still need to be paid

o       Closing has been done

o       Should gain about $5,178

o       Property taxes will be refunded

o       Federal form has to be filed to keep status

·         Section 42

o       $7500 grant is available to pay for expenses

o       No Section 42 for this year

o       May have some zoning board issues if other properties in other areas are used

·         Thieme Drive

o       Nothing new on flood control at Nelson, Thieme, and West Berry

o       Corps is moving ahead on erosion for Section 14

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

·         Officer Slate

o       2nd vice-president not feasible

o       Steve Miranda withdraws name from officer candidate slate

o       Motion by M. Walsh to activate fundraising committee with Steve Miranda as Chair – second by C. Bromelmeier – motion passes

·         800 W. Washington

o       NSP – block needs work

o       825 W. Washington – red house

o       817 W. Washington – yellow house

o       First purchase can be on speculation

o       Second must have owner to transfer

·         Plan Meeting

o       City to be invited to discuss designs for downtown

o       J. Simerman – 1000 block of Broadway

§         Intrascape – share info about block’s history

§         Cindy Joyner met with John Simerman

·         Discussion on how to approach condition of buildings

·         Do nothing or take position on how to proceed

·         Receivership may be an option

§         Keep 1000 Broadway on agend

§         Motion by J. Simerman that board requests no action be taken by Code Enforcement to begin official proceedings against buildings owned by St. johns in the 1000 block of Broadway – C. Weybright seconds – motion passes
