o       Minutes from the December meeting were read and approved

·                     Treasurer’s Report

o       Balance Sheet

·         Total Assets - $87,879.95

o       39 individuals

o         3 businesses

 

CELLPHONE TOWER REPRESENTATIVE

·                     Centennial representative, Mark Caesar, attended meeting to present information on GenCom’s request for a 150’ cell phone tower to be placed at 1427 Broadway

·                     Facility will be leased to Centennial and may include two or three other tenants

·                     Members present suggested other sites

·                     At conclusion of presentation, general members present agreed that the cell phone tower was not wanted

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS

 

·                  Planning Committee

o       No report

·                  CCW

o       No report

o       Suggestion was made to have representative come to a meeting

·                  Flood

o       CAW to check into turning Thieme Drive into one-way and report at February meeting

o       At this point, the project is at a standstill due to the expense and minimal amount of protection afforded

·                  Other

o       House tour – first meeting will be February 26, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.

 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 

·                     1134 Nelson Street

o       Buyer makes too much money

o       LM loan being restructured – new title work was needed

o       Once title work is completed, WCNA will be able to close on the loan

o       Jill will remain as a consultant on the Nelson Street property

§                     Other

 

NEW BUSINESS

·                     WCNA Employee

·         Offer to be extended to David Long on January 22, 2008.

·                     Website

·         Kevin Knuth will take over until a new manager is found

·         New employee may ultimately maintain the webstie

·                     BZA – Cell Tower

·         Discussion as to location and feasibility of cell  phone tower continued

·         Motion to object made by J. Simerman, seconded by C. Bromelmeier, motion passed

·         Need letter to BZA reflecting objection

·                     BZA – 802 – 804 W. Washington

·         designate four spots to the main house

·         split off the Mary Rockhill Tyler house

·         Motion by J. Simerman to support request, second by C. Bromelmeier, motion passes

OTHER

 

·                     Additional trees have been planted in the neighborhood thanks to Jill and Tom

·                     Emmanuel Lutheran Church has offered its facilities for our meetings

·                     Carriage owners/operators are concerned that the Santa and Reindeer sign is being turned off at 8:30 weekdays and 9:00 weekends

·         The businesses have suggested a contest for lighting

·         Perhaps DID could chip in $ to help with electrical bill

·         M. Anderson will contact the City and/or DID
