TREASURER’S REPORT

·         June Reports – presented and accepted

o        Starting to receive House & Garden Tour expenses; sponsorships to start coming in as well to help offset expenses.

 

MEMBERSHIP

·         101 total memberships prior to June’s WCNA Association meeting.

 

HOUSE & GARDEN TOUR COMMITTEE

·         Volunteers for house guides have been contacted.  Barbara Codding heading up efforts with help from Casi, Laura & Susan

·         July Meetings:  July 6 & July 20

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 

·         CHDO

o        800 Block of West Washington – still ongoing discussions with city regarding availability of homes.

o        825 W. Washington

§         John Simerman received cost estimates for initial review of home;

§         Next Steps:

o        Review cost estimates from the City (compare City estimates with possible rehab scenario).

o        Continue to work with City on getting government funding for acquiring and rehabbing home.

·         Section 42

o        Partnership with Henry Hall is still on the table until 1st of August

o        Board will continue to discuss other available options outside of Henry Hall for 2010 and future.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

·         Dumpster Days

o        2nd Dumpster Day = August 21th 

o       Volunteers Needed! Meet at the public parking lot on the corner of Van Buren and Wilt streets at 8:00 am. The Solid Waste Department of the City of Fort Wayne will provide us with a garbage truck so that we can clean up the alleys of the neighborhood north of Jefferson Blvd. in anticipation of the Home & Garden Tour, September 11 and 12. ·         Neighborhood Code & Police discussion – 800 Block of W. Jefferson inquiry on: 

o        Neglected homes

o        Increased foot traffic in alley & vacant homes

o        Increased police presence
