o       45 individuals – 6 businesses – 1 organization

§         Fundraiser using the Green Guide – a book with coupons for green products

§         Coupons are good for 1 year – annual publication

§         Money goes to non-profit organizations

COMMITTEE REPORTS

 

·                  Planning Committee

o       Meeting at Intrascape 3/24/08

·                  CCW  

o       No report

·                  House Tour

o       Meeting 3/20/08 7:00 p.m.

o       Trinity Episcopal has asked about being on the tour

o       Firefighters’ Local would like to be on tour

OLD BUSINESS

 

·                     1134 Nelson Street

o       Lock box was broken into containing the keys – they tehn went in and took copper pipe

o       J. Simerman did show the house

 

·                     CEDIT

o       Requests will be made for brick streets and curbs on Broadway

·                     Neighborhood Code

o       Now under planning and no longer under the police department

o       J. Simerman would like to see community-oriented government

 

·                     OTD

o       March 25, 2008 - pass on 1308 Ewing and work on saving 802 Lavina

o       Association votes to support saving 802 Lavina

o       1433 Swinney is being torn down

 

·                     National Historic District Committee

o       City is pushing to get the process started to obtain historic designation for area east of Broadway

·                     Emmanuel Lutheran Church

o       Church has prepared and presented a neighborhood plan which was reviewed and discussed

NEW BUSINESS

 

·                     BZA

o       503 – 535 West Wayne – to be re-designated as mixed use – will be denser with taller buildings and more pedestrian friendly

 

·                     815-817 W. Washington was sold

 

·                     Brick Street Policy

o       Brick Street Policy was distributed and discussed

o       J. Simerman made a motion to support the policy

o       T. Potter seconded

o       Motion passed

 

·                     Great American Clean-Up

o       May 17, 2008, is the Great American Clean-Up

o       Discussion as to area to clean up – south side of Broadway to Taylor

·                     Tire Day

o       Need to find out dates for tire pick up
