COMMITTEE REPORTS

· Planning Committee

o No report

· CCW

o No report

· House Tour

o No report

· Thieme Drive – save until old business section

· LHD – meeting held on November 11^th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

o Jill Downs and Creager Smith attended to answer questions

o Map was presented showing potential signers to date

· Nominating Committee – L. Codding presented the following slate of candidates with the floor open to additional nominations

o No further nominations being presented, the slate was approved by acclamation

o The following are the officer for the 2009 year:

§ Mike Anderson – President

§ Steve Miranda – Vice-President

§ Charlotte Weybright – Secretary

§ Chris Ruckman – Treasurer

§ Cherie Stark – Membership

OLD BUSINESS

§ Emmanuel Lutheran Church

· Pre-development funds application submitted to the City for Area 3 which is a small section of the comprehensive plan

· WCNA CHDO is simply a “pass through” for funds

· WC can either accept or deny the pass through

· Dog Bombs –signs have come in and will sell for $10.00 each

· Great Tree Canopy Comeback

· The event was a success with approximately 15 trees planted in Moody Park

§ Christmas Party 12/15/08 at Fire House #5

· 7:00 p.m. until ?

· We will have a short meeting and then refreshments

· Thieme Drive

· Discussion was held on the City’s suggested traffic calming alternative

· L. Codding made a motion to accept the alternative and move forward with a letter to the City

· M. Walsh seconded

· 10 in favor – 2 opposed – motion passed

· C. Weybright, Secretary will send a letter to the City to obtain the information to proceed

§ Neighborhood Stabilization

· upcoming tax sale will provide an opportunity for interested parties to buy properties

· if buyers are not found, then the properties will be sold to the city

§ 1218 Fulton

· City would like to sell to WC for $1.00 as the next CHDO project
