·         September Reports – presented and accepted

§         Revenue up over last year this time due to Tour revenue

 

MEMBERSHIP

·         Up 2 to 106 total memberships prior to October WCNA Association meeting.

 

FLOOD COMMITTEE

 

CCW

o        Meeting scheduled 11/19 @ 7 p.m. location:  Forest Park Methodist Church.

 

PLAN COMMITTEE

 

LHD (Local Historic District)

 

NOMINATING COMMITTEE

 

 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 

·         Section 42

o        Open, waiting on new tax credit language for 2011

 

·         CHDO

o        WCNA continues to work on CHDO recertification process.  It has taken longer than originally expected

o        825 W. Washington

o        Steve Miranda, Mike Anderson, Jack Stark and Tom Cain have continued discussions.

o        Tom Cain working on floor plan for all 4 houses

o        Preliminary interest by four separate contractors who might be open to resorting homes.

o        Group looking at CHDO & non-CHDO options for the block

 

 

 

NEW BUSINESS/ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

·         Parks & Recreation – asking for support for the city to request grant funding for tree replacement

o        Motion made by Mike Anderson for WCNA to submit an entry for our neighborhood. Larry Codding seconded; vote taken, passed.  David Long to send letter.

 

·         Tree Canopy

o        Upcoming planting event scheduled for November 6 – call if you would like to volunteer, brochures made available at the meeting for contact information.

 

·         Holiday Lighting Contest

o        Sentimental Journeys and WCNA co-sponsoring a traditional lighting contest for the holidays.

o        WCNA sponsoring $75.00 toward prizes

 

·         WCNA Holiday Party

o        December 20

o        7 p.m. o 9 p.m.

o        Fire House on Broadway

o        Cost have increased over last year;

§         Motion made by Mike Anderson to increase holiday funding to $400.00.  Jack Stark seconded, vote taken and passed.

 

·         Trunk or Treat

o        Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Jackson Street

o        If request, Charlotte will sign off on street closing.
